Nigel Bailey

Hi, I am Nigel, your online English Teacher. I am a well respected English teacher based in Białystok in the north-east of Poland.

I teach students from all over the world and help them improve their English-language skills. I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2003, and operating over the Internet since 2008 and I have already taught more than 2,500 students.

I am delighted to say that all my students have shown great improvement in their English-language skills in a short space of time.

What software will I need for my online English lessons?

Just the basics: a strong internet connection, a computer, the free video conferencing tool Zoom and an account so you can login to your online English courses!

When can I take my online English lessons?

I offer lessons at the following times:

Mon-Fri: 08:00-21:00

Sat: 10:00 – 18:00

Please note that I am based in Poland, so the above times are Central European Time.

If possible, I will try and accommodate you outside these hours.

What methodology do you use?

What is the CEFR?

My course levels are based on the internationally recognised Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. For more information on the CEFR, check out my blog post here.

How do I know my CEFR level?

My experience with Nigel has been very useful. I think classes with Nigel are perfect for people who have an intermediate level and want to improve speaking and vocabulary. In my case I had forgotten my English after years without using it and after a few clases I could express myself much better.
